Yorkshire Giant from cells (20 plants)
A Yorkshire Giant is a leek I have grown since 2008 and was bred by Keith Foster. On the first year of growing these, my plants achieved sizes of 23″ round and also broke the world record for the heaviest leek.
The first grass produced in 2010 broke back to the 2 parents; one being very straight and the other tapered.
The giant is a leek not for the faint hearted and is tremendous in the trench but very difficult to keep under the 6″ to the button. A MUST for the heavyweight class.
