The Pendle has proved to be the most consistent blanch leek for the past 10 years. The leek was bred by David Metcalfe who chose the leek for it’s straight barrel and good circumference. This leek needs to be pulled hard in the greenhouse to attain length but has won most championship shows throughout the country.
